According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code 211, every chimney and venting system should be inspected yearly, regardless of whether or not it’s used regularly. If your chimney is in use flammable creosote and soot can accumulate inside your home’s chimney. Creosote and soot can be flammable and could be ignited with your next fire. Whether in use or not it is best to have your chimney evaluated every year. Maryland winters are brutal and cause many changes to your home’s chimney system. We perform a 64-point checklist on your home’s chimney system. This includes scanning your chimney’s flue or liner to assess hidden dangers that could never be seen on the average inspection. Our chimney camera is the most state-of-the-art inspection camera on the market with crystal clear pictures to assess for the smallest of issues. We are accredited and certified chimney sweeps through the Chimney Safety Institute of America. We are also certified chimney inspectors with the International Association of Home Inspectors as well.
